Jarawara is one of three dialects of Madi, along with Jamamadi and Banawá. The Jarawaras live in the Terra Indígena Jarawara/Jamamadi in the municipality of Lábrea, Amazonas, Brazil. The dictionary has two parts: the main part is Jarawara-Portuguese, and the other part is a Portuguese-Jarawara index.
